Neuro-inclusion

Whether you’re completely new to neuro-inclusion or you know the specific solution you need, we can help you progress in your journey of empowering neurodivergent people.

Let's start with neurodiversity...

Everyone experiences the world in their own unique way.

Our neurological patterns inform how we interpret our surroundings, process our feelings, and behave with those around us.

While no two people do this in the same way, we can categorise similar approaches as neurotypes - for example autistic, ADHD, dyslexic or neurotypical (the majority). We understand those living outside of the majority neurotype to be neurodivergent.

Putting tools and systems in place to be accommodating of this neurological diversity is what we call neuro-inclusion.

Why consider neurodivergent people in your work?

At least one in five people are neurodivergent, meaning that every organisation has the responsibility to consider this often invisible population. Neurodivergent people often face poorer outcomes, reduced access, and greater barriers compared to the majority of the population.

But change is coming and with the rising social conversation about neuro-inclusion - more is being expected of organisations to support neurodivergent people and this demand will only grow as rates of diagnosis increase.

Designing products, policies, and processes with neurodivergent people in mind is no longer simply a legal or moral imperative - it's the financially responsible thing to do. The investments you make to empower your neurodivergent customers and employees can  improve your performance, enhance your brand reputation , and benefit everyone who interacts with your organisation.

Consideration is the first step to inclusion. It's our joy to support organisations through this journey, and to ask the question: what could it look like to truly design with neurodiversity in mind?

How could authentic neuro-inclusion enhance your organisation?

Statistics can paint a small picture of the situation, but research is still needed to understand the nuances of the broader neurodivergent experience. Explore below the existing data showing the need and opportunities that exist in your industry…
